Tacoma Narrows Rotary is an action oriented group of women and men focused on local and global efforts to improve the quality of life for all people. For the past 45 years, we have been serving the communities of University Place and Fircrest.

Locally, our primary emphasis is the education and the basic needs of children in University Place and Fircrest. We honor student excellence through our bi-monthly Students of the Month Ceremony, donate dictionaries to third grade students in each of our elementary schools, provide thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving college bound Curtis High School students and exceptional second year students at Tacoma Community College, and we support our local community garden, food banks and organizations focused on helping needy families. Some of our local projects include the computer room at the University Place Library, the scoreboards at Cirque Park, the big-toy at Cirque Park, and the Teen Room at the Fircrest Community Center.

Internationally, we are part of Rotary Internationals Polio Plus program, a very successful 30 year effort to eliminate Polio worldwide. Additionally, Tacoma Narrows Rotary financed the construction of a water well in Guidan Illa, Niger, and we have participated with other local Rotary clubs in water projects, school construction, sanitation projects and disaster relief in a variety of locations around the world.

Come and visit our club meeting held every Tuesday morning at 7:00 am at Tower Lanes Entertainment Center (6323 6th Avenue, Tacoma). We moved from the Fircrest Golf club in September 2014.
